Brian&Natasha

I had the extreme privelage of photographing Brian and Natasha's wedding a couple weeks ago.  I honestly had such a blast at this wedding.  I felt so much love.  Both of them as well as people in the wedding party thanked me for photographing the wedding and were constantly looking out for me throughout the day.  After having the opportunity to scout out locations with them a few weeks ago I knew the big day was going to be spectacular!!!  And oh how I was ever right.  These two are some of the kindest people and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them.

Basic rundown of the day:  

Beautiful ceremony.

Hardcore dudes.

Bridesmaids workin it out.

Hours of photo fabulousness.

Dance party.

Amazing cake.

Yeah you get the idea.  So lets get it started

There's nothin like a good sentimental letter to start off the day.  Natasha thought she could hold it together, but she definitely got a little misty.

Just a little FYI, Natasha loves her dog.  In fact she loves her so much that she wanted to have her be the ring bearer.  Unfortunately she was denied.  I couldn't help but get a shot of her at least.  I mean, come on.  Look at that face!

Alright, I've got to give a shout out to my friend Stacey.  She was a total life saver that day.  She helped get people organized and where they needed to be, when I needed them there.  People actually thought she was the wedding coordinator.  No people!  She was a guest!  Stacey much props to you.  Couldn't have done it without you!!!

After the party had been goin' on for a while I noticed that all the groomsmen were missing.  Where were they at?  Out back taking a break.  I mean who could blame 'em?

Joel&Donelle

For those of you who saw my last post you will know that I have been out and about the country.  I went and did an engagement shoot with my cousin and his fiance Donelle.  It was a whirlwind of a trip.  Fast and furious for sure, but fun nonetheless, so let the excitement begin.

First shot of the weekend and definitely one of my faves.

shhhh.... secrets

So I will have to admit.  I stole the idea for this photo from one of my friends and photographic mentor Lisa.  I just couldn't pass up the opportunity though.  Love it!

Just a lovely stroll down the street.  What you can't tell is that we are about to get hit by a car.  Possibly the real reason why Donelle is looking over her shoulder.  After we grabbed this, it was a dash to our safety seeing that traffic was not going to stop.

I love this shot taken in the church where Joel puts some hours in.  Don't you just love the glow of that stained glass window.  Beautimous!!!

Of course while they were there I had to grab this of the shoes.  I've always known Joel to wear cowboy boots.  Preeeetty much my whole life.  So they had to make an appearance along with Donelle's stellar red kicks.

I love how it looks like he's getting ready here to suprise her with flowers when in reality he gave her money to pick out which ones she really wanted.  Smart move.  ;)

Favorite!  Congratulations you two.  Can't wait till the wedding!!!

Mark&Casey

So I had a first in my photographer career thus far.  10th anniversary photos.  When my mom had told me that she had referred someone she knew for this session, I expected, in my naive preconceived notions, a nice looking middle aged couple.

To my delighted surprise who stepped out of the vehicle that pulled up to meet me that day???

We somehow managed to find this little gem of a spot out in the back of a parking lot.  Who would've ever thought?

Every time I told them to just pretend like I wasn't there, Casey would pop her foot up in the air like that.  Guess that's just their "we're alone now" pose.

I love the way he's looking at her.  Can't you tell how much he loves her.  Written all over that face.

After some time in the park we moved on to another location, where we ate lunch at. Amazing place by the way.  I grabbed this shot of Mark as we waited for Casey to freshen up.  Don't you feel like you're in a Patrick Dempsey movie???

...but they kept cracking each other up.  I love the way they make each other laugh.

Unfortunately it started to rain on us a bit.  One of those awesome St. Louis weird weather days.  Tried to make the best of it and got one more little romantic shot before we wrapped it up.

Joel&Donelle

So for those of you who don't know, this weekend I'm doing a bit of jet setting. That's right, I said it. Jet setting.

On Thursday I set off on an adventure to the nation's capital to do an engagement shoot for my cousin and his fiance. The two of them are quite the young professionals working non stop. While the two of them worked today I walked the District, scouting out some cool locations for us to take advantage of. 

Since these two are the young professionals that they are we decided to break this photo excursion into two shoots. Today we captured them in their element. So they came straight from work ready to sport those business duds. 

So here's just a little teaser for ya.

We call this their Law and Order pose.

So Donelle and I thought that Joel could use this for some high profile photo in his future business ventures.

I feel like I"m getting a little behind with this so I thought I'd put up a few of my favorite photos from my last wedding. I met Ross and Stephanie through another one of my couples. They were actually in the wedding party of the first wedding I ever shot. See how all this works together! So I've known one of my closest friends, Nathan Smith, for almost 8 years now. He is insanely talented. He plays guitar like a magician and has an incredible voice.
