Sadich Family Preview

So today was quite the busy day of family shoots. Of course these amazing families couldn't have picked a more perfect day to do them. 70 degrees, clear skies, perfect sun. Uh, are you sure its the middle of November?! Anyhow I am in the midst of editing one of the families (friend's of mine as a matter of fact). Usually when I photograph families I love to capture the playing and laughing. However every once in a while I come across one of those photos that are just "real life". No posing, just honest. This is one of those photos. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it. It makes me laugh.

I'm trying to decide though if I like it better in color or not. This kid has some incredible blue eyes. Leave me a comment and let me know what you like best.

Zellmer Family

Everyone meet the Zellmer family! Don't they look fun. Well I can tell you. They are.

And let me tell ya. This family has got some cute kids! All smiles. =D

Ah boys who like to explore. This one feels a little timeless to me. It definitely makes me smile.

We took a little break in the evening to play around a swingset we found somewhat off in the woods. Good time were had by all. Love this sequence.

She was holdin' that smile in for a while, but we finally got it outta her.

How could you not fall in love with a face like that. TOO CUTE!

So we decided to let mom and dad have their moment too. I mean they deserve it after all the hard work they do. Can we say we got a couple of models here?

And last, but not least a group shot in front of the sweet doors we found. I'm a big fan of doors if you didn't know. ;)

The Sarino Family

So I had the privilege yesterday to do some family photos for the Sarino family. I was super excited to see these guys again. The last time I saw them was probably about a year and a half ago. The boys had just been introduced to the world and were quite tiny. About all they did was sleep. I can't believe how long it had been for when the door was opened there stood two little men with sippie cups in hand. So big! And so cute! So without further ado....

Well we decided, on what turned out to be an amazing fall evening, to go chill out by a barn down the street. As you can tell there was much to look at. To my surprise it was actually a working barn stocked with sheep and goats!

Oh the excitement!

Unfortunately we couldn't actually go into the barn so we decided to venture out once more. Jason was telling me about the story of the train cars that the town had stored down the street. As we pulled up I couldn't have been more excited. What a perfect photo spot! :D

So it turned out that Saturday was Jason and Jen's anniversary. So of course we had to let the kids go play while we got a grown up shot. ;) Congratulations the two of you. You have a beautiful family!

Fall Rep!

So about a year ago I did Senior portraits for my friend Katie. I had a blast. However, this year, I decided to put before me a little project. I wanted to go back to a couple of the same spots that I shot her photos last year and to see 1) the progression of my work in the last year and 2) thought it would be fun for Katie, and her friends and family, to see the change in her in the last year.
